Fiesta Wild Animals 40" Standing Two Hump Camel Review

I'm not rating him 5 stars because this is a perfect camel, but because he is so superior to anything else available out there (quality-wise and price-wise, even with the hefty shipping charge to Iowa) that there is no comparison. His biggest flaw is that he is built like an Arabian (one-humped or Dromedary) camel (in fact he has a tag in his ear depicting an Arabian camel) but he has two humps, like a Bactrian camel. His shag could go either way, though it lacks the fullness that makes a Bactrian camel look so massive. His ears are just a little too long and come to a point, but the point is easily poked back inside the two layers, making them look about right.

Mine stands exactly 32" tall and is 36" long, though would go 40" if the tail was stretched out. This is a good-sized beast! He is very sturdy and stands very solidly. He has that camel attitude and is surprisingly very well shaped. His tail even stands out in a little bit of an arch rather than hanging straight down. His face is a bit of a caricature, but in character!Overall he is quite realistic.

I used to own a camel, so I am picky. I didn't know how he would look "in the flesh" as pictures can be misleading, but I am very pleased with him. I intend to have fun decorating him with camel trappings. He is my house camel.
