This is a very cute little stuffed pig.My son loves it, although he's young enough that we don't let him play with it a lot yet (the pig has plastic eyes, which could come off and be a choking hazard).The pig is a decent size; the 12-inch measurement is from nose to tail.He seems to be fairly well made as far as seams and stitching go.There are pellets in the feet so that he can sort of stand up, and the rest of the body is stuffed with the typical soft stuffing.The tail has hair on the end, and even curls a bit.I'm not sure how to rate him as far as "education" goes - it's a stuffed toy.However, he is easily identifiable as a pig, and he does have cloven hooves, so as far as accuracy, he's pretty good.
I wish I'd bought two more when they were on sale.I bought a stuffed wolf as well, and we could have acted out the Three Little Pigs for my son.But for now, one pig will have to play all three parts.
