I have a granddaughter who enjoys plush animal toys. She is often with one in hand or nearby. When my father-in-law called the girl "Possum" one day, my wife and I resolved to find a toy opossum and bring it along on a visit to my in-laws for when our granddaughter might be visiting their house.Unknown to us, the child's great-grandparents had similar ideas and picked up a similar plush toy at a store they are fond of. The other toy's hair is not so soft, the tail not so long and pliable, and the face about as ugly as the real thing. So when the granddaughter paid a visit, she was presented with two 'possums.
This opossum plush toy, which we bought through Amazon.com, is her favorite and she carries it everywhere when at the great-grandparents house. (Which didn't hurt my feelings at all).
What can I say? The little girl loves it.
