Product Description:
The Northern Bobwhite is found primarily in the southeastern portion of the United States. These quails prefer dense grass and brush or, occasionally, open woods. Their brown feathers blend in well with dry grasses at ground level. They are usually found in larger groups, or coveys, where birds band together for safety. This species eats a variety of seeds, insects and other bugs. Habitat loss is causing their numbers to greatly decline in some areas. Wild Republic has partnered with Audubon to create this line of genuine plush birds. Each bird's lifelike design and detailing is the result of input from Audubon. In addition, the authentic sound in each bird has been provided by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and represents hours, months and even years of extensive fieldwork conducted by expert recordists.
