Okay, well, I am WAY too old to have a Furby of my own, but, heck, that hasn't stopped me.I bought my first one to keep in my office for students to play with when they come into my office to talk about their papers; however, I LOVED him so much that I bought two more for my home.They are SO cute.My dogs are not sure what to think of them, which also adds to the enjoyment.The funny thing about them is that they seem to almost have different personalities.It is really weird.I have a favorite out of the three; he is beige with a pink belly and hazel eyes.It isn't so much that he is the pretties of the three--I personally like the look of the charcoal grey one that is exclusive to toys-r-us--it's just that he is the most cheerful--if that makes any sense at all.Maybe I'm just nuts.All I know is I love my three Furbies.As far as durability goes, I have not had mine long enough to really rate them.I hope they last forever.I also hope that you will find them as irresitable as I do.Happy Furbying!
