I purchased this for my sister after my nephew was born. He was hospitalized for a week following his arrival, and, as I lived far away, I felt the need to DO SOMETHING. I'd already started baby a koala collection, and this was one of the items on my list for him. I placed the order, had it shipped directly to their house- it arrived home the same day the new little family did. My sister cried when she opened it. I was not aware that Sweet Kirby came complete with a "birth certificate" for the parents to fill out, stating his name, "I belong to", the date of birth for both baby and the toy, and other special notes for parents to include. It couldn't have been a more perfect surprise after such a stressful time. My nephew is still small, but has already formed an attachment to this sweet, soft plush toy.
