My son now has three children. He has a Gund Chimp he grabbed in a toy store while we were looking for a Christmas present. He was seven months old and chose his own present! We could not get it away from him, so we bought it. His sister continued the chimp and primate tradition. Now his three children have Gund chimps. Gund is a quality toy. Our son's daughter fell in love with a Pink Gund Cat. Our son also loved Snowflake the albino gorilla, who had blue eyes just like our son. Snowflake died in a zoo, and so far as I know, no one made a stuffed Snowflake toy. Jane Goodall's son had a similar chimp to our first Gund chimp. The toy taught our children very early about endangered animals. Psychologically, it is a good toy, because children naturally gravitate to faces. Remember the cloth monkey/wire monkey experiments?
