I'm not a fan of stuffed animals, but when my son passed away, I found this little guy peeking out of a basket in a funeral arrangement for him. This little guy made an impact, with his soulful eyes and somber expression. He's unlike the happy stuffed animals I regularly see.He came home with us, and is now prominently perched atop my bed. When I travel, he goes with me so he's been through quite a bit. He looks well-loved now, giving him more character.
He's quite durable. I haven't had to fix him once in the 2.5 years I've had him, nor shift the beans in his body. He is sorrowful, but not so much that he can't pass for a 'regular bear'. Just enough for those who need it. If you know someone who needs a pick-me-up, even if stuffed animals aren't their thing...he might very well be the perfect gift.
He was for me.
