I live in Louisiana (not originally a native but now very proud to call 'home') and although I was far enough up north not to directly impacted by Hurricane Katrina, I was involved with the Red Cross in setting up and working many of the shelters in NWLA for many months, as well as working full time as an active duty member of the USAF. I was thrilled when I saw the 'I LOVE LOUISIANA' bear since LA is a very unique state and I was very impressed with the dedication of all of thevolunteers I was fortunate enough to be around. The folks in the NW region of the state really came together in a time of dire need for our state. In addition, the fact that a part of the proceeds of this bear go directly to the Red Cross was just an additional bonus.
