I bought the Max and Ruby 14 inch plush toys for my granddaughter who is 4 from the Amazon website. We watch ALL the Max and Ruby cartoons because they have good character building values in the story line. She interacts with the story on TV with her Max and Ruby and they are her favorite toys. She puts them in her doll stroller and pushs them around the house talking to them all the time. My nephew loves the book so I got him this doll for Christmas. He's a lot like Max so he loved it. He sleeps with him at night. It is not a puppet it's a doll. That was the only confusion.

I bought this doll for myself ( to collect). I bought three of the" where the wild things are" dolls and I love them. They are well constructed & the faces are printed, this gives contrast to the fur on the body.
