Fisher-Price Puppy Grows and Knows Your Name Tan Review

I bought this last year for my then 2-year-old son when it first came out for [...] Since I ordered it on Amazon, sending it back would mean losing out on a big chunk of what I paid for it in return shipping, so we just kept it. It was one of the worst toy purchases I have ever made.

The puppy's voice is not very pleasant, in my opinion, and upon loading up the software you'll find that at least 80% of the names available to give your puppy are female names. It's not that big of a deal, but my son wanted his puppy to be a boy and the voice sounds like a boy, so I didn't quite get the lack of male names on the software.

My major gripe is the total lack of variety. On the first day, the puppy says only 2 or 3 different things. As he grows, he says one new thing each day and repeats all the others. It gets extremely repetitive very fast. The bone and brush (if you can manage to not lose them) are fun at first because the puppy says something specifically about the item, but the bone is tricky to get in the right spot. You have to push it against his nose more than put it in his mouth. Still, it made my son giggle quite a bit when the puppy burped the first few times after having the bone.

The growing aspect is also lacking. It does not grow as much as you're led to believe. A few inches is about it. And due to all the mechanical parts that make this puppy tick, it is hard as a rock and not cuddly in any way. My son used to try to drag him around the house and it's just silly seeing him drag this heavy, stiff animal around.

He did enjoy him the first few days, but now the puppy is lucky to get his attention once every few weeks. I cringe every time I think of all the other quality toys I could have gotten him for what I paid for this. Not recommended!

LeapFrog Discovery Ball Review

I bought the Discovery Ball by Leap Frog for my granddaughter, who at the time was only 9 months old.Once opened it was the only toy she played with the rest of the day.She loved all of the songs, and the lights and being able to roll that ball on its stand is a G-R-E-A-TBIG PLUS for this toy.I will not buy anything but educational toys for my grandchildren.This ball, is a great size for little hands.It has three play modes, volume control, however even if it didn't have a volume control, the music is great to listin to.I gave this little granddaughter of mine two musical toys at Christmas time last year - the other one was much higher priced - it is the Sunshine Symphony, which plays classical music - between these two toys if my granddaughter can choose she will go for the Discovery Ball every time.She started to walk at 10 & 1/2 months of age.Now that she is walking the ball has been removed from the stand and has been rolled all over the place and even dropped down some stairs by accident - but it is a very tough ball and the fall never hurt it a bit.Oh by the way my little granddaughter's older sister who is five even likes to play with it.People, please, take it from an old grandmother, if you only have enough money to buy one toy for your child per year - by the Discovery Ball by Leap Frog - Trust me, you WILL NOT be sorry for the small amount of money spent on this toy - it is worth every penny of it.

This is a fun toy.Our grandbabies got this for their birthday and love her!She has a cute voice with funny phrases ("Twinkle off!) that kids love.She's the kind of doll little ones like to cuddle with and carry around.Abby and Tickle Me Elmo are such a great, user-friendly pair.I enjoy playing with her too! She makes us all (both adults and kids) laugh!Can't ask for anything better.

I bought this as a birthday present and it was the hit of the party.Since that time I have asked the mother how the little one is enjoying her Elmo.She cannot say enough wonderful things about it.Her daughter has made a new friend in this delightful guy.She sings with him, dances with him and no matter how rough she is, he still bounces back.I think we have a winner here. Well worth your money and the enjoyment of a child.

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Puppy Review

My 10.5 month old son and "almost" 2 year old daughter LOVE this puppy!!!It is so cute!And very good sized too!My daughter will sit and play with it - pushing on the ear, hands, feet, stomache and nose... making it talk and sing.My son just likes to dance away while the puppy sings (teehee)!We all have a good time with it!

It says many different things - to many to list here.My daughters favorites are to hear it say (when pushing on the nose), "Achoooo" (sneezing sound), or "You got my nose" (she gets a kick out of that everytime)!She also loves that it 'sings', "The itsy bitsy spider" (her favorite song)!

Terrific buy and lots of fun!!!!!!

Fisher-Price Learn and Sing Teddy Review

My son is 18 mo. old. and I picked this toy off the shelf for him to play with while riding in the shopping cart at the store. Normally I would think that he would not be interested in something like this as he is a rough and tumble kind of kid, but he loved it! He was fascinated with the music and lights. He was also able to squeeze the hands and feet easily with no problems to play the sounds. I liked how soft the furr was. Very nice quality. Doesn't seem like the furr would get ratty looking like some cheap stuffed animals do. This toy is very educational as well! When it was time to leave the store I literally could not pry this from his hands. I finally did get it from him and he was completly distraught. So then I knew he had to have this!
